Junior Miss Bolton & Bury ending 2015 majestically!
This week I thought I would reflect back on my last couple of events of 2015 which I haven’t blogged about yet…
Towards the end of November, I had the pleasure of attending the final of Miss North West.
It was great seeing all of the amazing Team North girlies and Mark (alongside Miss England, Natasha and Mr England, Chris) again and having a good catch up with them all!
It was so lovely seeing so many new girls entering this heat (I LOVE making so many new friends through these heats!) and also quite a few faces I’d seen in other Miss England North West heats. The night consisted of an energetic, Sportswear opening section, followed by a bit of a dance for the Party wear round. Then it was onto the eveningwear round which all of the girls did ever so effortlessly and elegantly, which was followed by the eco wear round which was VERY creative with some very interesting messages behind them.
The phrase: ‘Time flies when you’re having fun’, couldn’t apply more in pageants; as soon it was the awards section and the crowning of the new Miss North West. I had the pleasure of presenting the ‘Miss Publicity’ award to a very deserving and beautiful woman,. A HUGE congratulation to all of the award winners and those who placed!
The Miss North West title was taken home by an AMAZING woman, Christina Cunningham!!!
I had previously met Christina in the Miss Bolton and Bury finals and then I saw her again at many other Miss England North West Heats since. I could not be more proud of Christina and what she has achieved! I know you are a perfect ambassador for the North West and I cannot wait to see what your year brings for you!
All of the girls should be SO proud of themselves, as simply getting up on the stage is such a massive achievement in itself. I no doubt know that all of the girls will have took something positive away from the experience. Christina, (who like I said had entered Miss Bolton and Bury earlier in the year) just shows that you should NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS, and that hard work, determination, a heart full of gold and self-belief will get you to where you want to be eventually.
Now of course, I can NOT wait to see who will be crowned the new Junior Miss North West and I wish all of the girls the best of luck!
The middle of December saw the Miss World finals, which I followed on social media and then watched on TV on the final. Natasha’s experience looked phenomenal and looked like every pageant girl’s dream… To explore another part of the world and indulge the different culture of China alongside many other different cultures and languages from the girls representing their countries from around the world seems truly fascinating. As well as doing charity work and of course competing on the Miss World Stage! Everyone is SO proud of Natasha and her Miss World journey. She is an amazing role model to England and such an inspirational role model. It was great to watch and actually know someone after, watching Natasha take the Miss Cheshire crown back in June before her Miss England win.
Miss Spain, Mireia Lalaguna took home the Miss World crown and I wish her also lots of luck for her year. I also managed to fit Miss World into my studies; as I am currently in my last year of A levels, one of which is Spanish, I have been able to keep up with what Mireia has been up to with her title by reading all of the articles/interviews in Spanish!
I want to do as much as possible before I hand over my title, so PLEASE, message me with any ideas of events I can attend (I have already got a few good ideas)!
Plus, Bolton and Bury girls, if you want to gain confidence, make friends, do charity work and get involved in the community – to name just a few things then get messaging me for some details or simply apply NOW, to become the next Junior Miss Bolton and Bury!
That’s it from me for now,
I hope you enjoyed reading it!
Love and hugs,
Giorgia, Junior Miss Bolton and Bury. xoxo
