Junior Miss Bolton and Bury

Junior Miss Bolton & Bury at the final for the crowning of two new Junior Misses

Hello everyone,

On Sunday 28th February I went to the beautiful, starry Sands Venue in Blackpool to meet and watch the finalists of Junior Miss North West 2016 and Junior Miss Lancashire 2016!

It was a lovely afternoon/evening spent catching up and having a laugh and some photos/selfies with my amazing Team North Family! <3

It was so lovely seeing so many new faces as well as some which I have met before, such as Lucy Kennedy, Heather Needham and Elle Hewitt to name just a few and of course there was also Mercedes Mercer, who was in the finals of Junior Miss Bolton and Bury last March with me. I cannot put into words how proud I am of all of the girls but of course of Mercedes, who did brilliantly and was a pleasure to watch – it is so true that in these heats you really do make close friends. <3

The girls all took part in four rounds: Sportswear, Party Wear, Evening Wear and Eco Wear and in all of them the girls did fantastically, with some really creative and interesting ideas and messages coming through the Eco Dresses which the girls had created.

Junior Miss North West 2014/15, Skye Bo Mitchell was handing her title over on Sunday and I just want to say how much of an inspiration Skye is most certainly to me but I’m sure to people everywhere. Skye during her reign used her title to its maximum potential, for example, in just one way Skye spoke out about a topic which is close to her heart: bullying and from there set up an anti-bullying campaign – ‘Labelled’. Skye is such an amazing role model to the North West and I know everyone is SO proud of her and what she has achieved during her reign. She is the one of the living definition of being beautiful on both the inside and the outside and I feel very honoured to call her one of my friends. We all love you Skye! <3

So as you can all probably guess it was a rather emotional night! The judges had a very tough job! Skye handed her title over to Alex Moran, who has such an infectious smile, it simply makes everyone else smile along with her! Whilst the title of Junior Miss Lancashire 2016 was given to Ammie Shipton, who had an equally lovely personality and excelled that evening! Congratulations Girls and welcome to the Team North Family! I cannot wait to see what the girl’s years holds for them and how they are going to represent their areas.

Not only did these two girls win their titles but Mark had a VERY exciting announcement to make… Which was now the girls who win the Junior titles from around England will go on to represent their area in ‘Britain’s Junior Miss’ – this year at the Sands Venue in November, and Alex and Ammie are two of the first crowned to be doing so! How Exciting!!! I wish both of the girls all of the luck in the world for their preparations in the build up to this very exciting opportunity!

All of the girls did so amazingly and all did not only do their families and friends and us proud but they should also be VERY proud of themselves, as simply getting to the finals and getting up on the stage is such a big thing in itself. Of course a huge congratulation, to the girls who won awards and also placed in both of the heats, they were all thoroughly deserved! Please, girls keep coming back for more fun and memories!

As I come towards the end of my reign, I want to make the most out of the time I have left, so please feel free to notify me with any upcoming events! I already have a few things lined up, some of which is going to be continuing on with my work with The British Skin Foundation with my Acne Story! Also if anyone has anything they would like me to blog about, then please let me know about that too!

I hope you all enjoyed reading which weeks blog!

Lots of love,

Your Junior Miss Bolton and Bury 2015/16, Giorgia x
